The Dongguan Move — Building a Purpose-Built Factory (2015)
By 2015, our Shenzhen workshop had served us well — but we had outgrown it.
The demand from brand partners was growing. Our quality standards were rising. And to meet both, we needed a facility that was purpose-built for precision manufacturing, not a rented space we could not control.
12,000 Square Meters of Purpose
So we made the move to Dongguan — a city known as the manufacturing capital of the world. There, we built a 12,000-square-meter facility from the ground up, designed entirely around our production philosophy.
This was not just more space. It was a vertical integration strategy made physical:
- In-house mold-making — No more outsourcing tooling; we controlled it from design to production.
- Injection molding — Our own machines, our own quality standards.
- SMT lines — Surface mount technology for PCB assembly, done under our own roof.
- Final assembly — Every unit assembled, tested, and packaged by trained hands.
- Quality control — Dedicated QC stations at every stage, not just at the end.
A New Name for a New Era
With the new facility came a new corporate identity. We officially became Dongguan Xionel Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.
The name Xionel — a fusion of ambition and energy — reflected our evolution from a local workshop to a manufacturer ready to serve international brands directly.
Why This Mattered
The Dongguan move was not just about square footage. It was about control. When you own your molds, your injection lines, your SMT, and your assembly, you control quality at every step. You can promise things that outsourcers cannot.
And for the global brands that would soon come to trust us, that control was everything.
